Women’s Golf Event Raises Funds for Women’s Wellness
In 2019 the PCH Foundation was tasked with raising $23,000 for a colposcope to be used in the new Women’ Wellness Centre being constructed at PCH. Colposcopy is a medical diagnostic procedure to examine an illuminated, magnified view of the cervix and the tissues of the vagina and vulva. Many premalignant lesions and malignant lesions in these areas have noticeable characteristics which can be detected through the examination. This is just one of the many new services added to PCH through the inclusion of the new Women’s Wellness Centre.
