Heather Millar has close connection to the Prince County Hospital. Her father, Edgar Millar, who passed away nearly 5 years ago, had spent time in the Palliative Care unit and her mother, Betty, volunteers at the Wishing Well Gift Shop in the PCH. This year for the Lights for Life campaign, Heather, a Sun Life Financial Advisor, decided to make a gift in memory of her father and a gift to honour her mother. “I truly believe in the Lights for Life campaign,” says Millar. When asked why she chose the PCH Foundation for her charitable giving this year, she replied,” I know the money is being used for important equipment at the PCH. I know about the great care at our hospital.”
Recently Heather Millar, left, presented a gift of $1000 for “Lights for Life” to Heather Matheson, Managing Director at the PCH Foundation. With her gift she dedicated a tree of blue lights in memory of her father and a gold light in honour of her mother.
This year, Lights for Life takes place December 7th at 6:30PM at the Prince County Hospital.
