Ways to Give
Fundraise for PCH
Your time and effort will benefit thousands of Islanders cared for at Prince County Hospital each year. No matter how large or small, your contribution will make a difference and we thank you. Prince County Hospital Foundation appreciates the support of groups and businesses in the community that sponsor events to raise funds for the Hospital.
Our managing director must approve all event applications prior to promoting or executing any community event. Please submit your event proposal form at least one month before the event date.
Please complete the Community Event Form and submit it to the Foundation office for consideration.
Lights for Life
Since 1995, Lights for Life has been an important part of our community, an opportunity to remember and honour loved ones, and an important fundraiser for the Prince County Hospital Foundation.
You can dedicate a light or display in honour/memory of someone you love. All dedications made before Nov. 23rd (at noon) will be listed in our Lights for Life dedication booklet which will be available at the Prince County Hospital in early December. Join us for our kickoff community gathering for the first lighting of Lights for Life on Dec 4th at 6:30 pm. Then, beginning December 5th and every night until Dec. 31st, we will run the full Lights for Life show set to music at 6 PM, 7 PM and again at 8 PM. Bring the family, tune your radio to 98.5 FM and enjoy the show from your car in the PCH parking lot.
Gifts can be made at the PCH Foundation office in the hospital, by calling (902) 432-2547, or by using our Online Form
Grass Roots Dinner and Auction
Since 2009, the PCH Foundation and Warren Ellis have been working together to put on PEI’s biggest and most successful fundraising event! This annual dinner and auction takes is held at Credit Union Place in Summerside and features live entertainment, a fantastic meal and a live auction. Click the link below for information about this year’s event.
Memorial Giving
A contribution to the Prince County Hospital Foundation ensures that the memory of your loved one lives on, because it is used to purchase medical equipment at Prince County Hospital.
When you make a memorial gift to the hospital foundation, we send a note to the family informing them of your thoughtfulness. It lists your name as the donor, but not the amount of your gift.
Vital Signs – Greatest Needs
One of the many ways we continue to improve PCH is through the Vital Signs Annual Equipment Campaign which provides funds for the purchase of priority medical equipment for this hospital. The Vital Signs Campaign is the umbrella initiative under which all other fundraising efforts fall. The goal of this campaign encompasses all pieces of equipment needed in a given year. Equipment needs vary each year; however, each item holds an important role in patient care. A large part of this campaign is a mail-out appeal that is sent to thousands of Islanders. Monthly Giving
At the Prince County Hospital Foundation, we aim to make it as easy as possible for you to make a gift.
In these trying economic times, it may be difficult to make a gift as large as you would like all at once. The convenience of monthly giving allows you to make you contribution to the PCH Foundation over the course of the year. While it might seem like a small amount now, at the end of the year you’ve really made a difference in the lives of patients and staff at PCH.
Monthly Giving
How Can I Pledge Through Monthly Giving?
Gifts may be made monthly by pre-authorized debit from your bank account or by credit card. If you set a defined period for your giving (eg. – 12 months, 24 months) we will contact you for your wishes at the end of that period. Alternatively, you can establish a “recurring” gift wherein you will make monthly gifts until you tell us to stop.
Simply contact Lisa at the Foundation office for more information – to receive a monthly giving form. You may of course change or cancel this arrangement at any time.

Special Occasion Giving
What do you give someone who has everything, and needs nothing? A gift to the hospital, in their honour, is a thoughtful choice. It will make a difference to the patients and staff at PCH, and it will be a valuable way to mark a birthday, anniversary, retirement, graduation, new baby, or even a special day, such as Christmas.
Special Occasion gifts can be made online or in person at the PCH Foundation office.
The Foundation has Special Occasion Gift cards available for you to fill out, and mail back in a stamped, self-addressed envelope. We will send the person that you are honouring a lovely card detailing that a gift was made to the hospital. The amount of your gift will not be disclosed, but there is room for a personal note if you wish to add it.
Workin’ 2 Win
Workin’ 2 Win is a long-term fundraiser that began as a workplace cash draw that has expanded to include volunteers and other members of the PCH family. Click here if you are interested in joining this bi-weekly draw.
